Dr. Aspenson is decorated, former U.S. Air Force officer and board certified Endocrinologist, with additional accreditation and certification in thyroid ultrasound, ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration, bone densitometry, radioactive iodine treatment and neck ultrasound.

After being named one of the top ten graduates of Oklahoma State University, Dr. Aspenson went on to graduate with distinction from the University of Oklahoma School of Medicine.
Dr. Aspenson trained in Internal Medicine at the David Grant United States Air Force Medical Center, where he was named Resident Teacher of the year and then served as Chief Resident. He completed his fellowship training in Endocrinology at Wilford Hall United States Air Force Medical Center, where he was awarded second place in the nationwide Young Investigator Award competition of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists.
Dr. Aspenson has served as director of the Wilford Hall Diabetes Care Clinic, among many other appointments and commendations during his distinguished military career.
He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Endocrinology, and a member of the Endocrine Society.
Dr. Aspenson has spearheaded multiple research protocols in endocrinology, and has presented his research nationwide.
